Robert Broussard Endorses Alan Mann for Circuit Judge

I have known Alan Mann for the last twenty years in both a professional and personal capacity and unequivocally support his pursuit of a Circuit Court judgeship. I first made his acquaintance in the early 90’s when Alan hired on as an Assistant District Attorney in this office and I have remained in contact with him after he left for private practice. During this time, I had the unique opportunity to work with Alan on the prosecution “side” and against him when he left the office and was practicing criminal defense. At all times Alan’s work was stamped with an overriding sense of duty and fairness. He is a man who understands the justice system and the relative duties and obligations of all involved.

From a personal perspective, Alan is of the highest integrity and character. He is a good family man and is well loved by those in the community. In short, Alan possesses the qualities and temperament needed for a judge and I will support him in any way I am able.

I have practiced law in Madison County for 45 years. During that time, I have served as the Madison County District Attorney for 12 years. Over the years I have appeared before several Madison County Judges. Throughout the State it is well known that Madison County has excellent judges that handle a tremendous work load. Recently the Alabama Legislature decided to create a new Circuit Judge position in Madison County. In my opinion, it is imperative that the new Circuit Judge have years of experience handling several different types of cases and have the judicial temperament necessary for the position.
